These are nice shorts and seem to be made well. Like the other person that reviewed the shorts liked the way that they fit, I did not. I also wear a 34" waist and they were just to tight. I got the large but should have gotten the extra large.

If you're looking for the Umbro-style stle soccer shorts of your youth, screw the logo, these are them. I'd been looking for years and ended up ordering 10 pairs. Dicks sporting goods at the mall had girls sizes but could never find the ones for adult guys. Some of the reviews on here trashed the Umbros so I decided to take a chance on these Augusta ones. Fit is awesome...I wondered about the "long" but they're 18" (top of waist band to botom of leg) and hit me perfectly, lower-mid thigh. I'm a 34" waist and the large were just right...elastic waist band is snug but in a way that feels like it will last and the legs/crotch are roomy so that it feels like you aren't really wearing anything. Classic colors (yellow, red, blue) are washing very well, lightweight but sturdy construction. Draw string is a flat weave and plenty long so that it won't disappear in the waistband. Customer service fom the vendor, Texas Shirts, is awesome. And they're cheap, cheap, cheap (as in inexpensive):) If they start making them with a back-pocket, I'll wet myself. Enjoy!
